Less time. More substance.
Briefs is a media network built on one principle: get the essential information without wasting the viewer's time. Not shorter for its own sake. Shorter because someone did the work of deciding what matters.
A brief answers one question.
If you only have fifteen minutes, what do you actually need to know? Every brief is a produced video with a 15:00 ceiling and a written analysis beside it. Chapters carry one-line takeaways so the whole thing can be read without pressing play. Every brief ends with a verdict.
The ceiling is editorial, not technical. If a subject genuinely needs longer, it becomes two briefs.
One network. 10 subjects. One subdomain each.
Each subject is its own editorial brand with its own subdomain, channel, taxonomy and audience, and all of them share the same format, the same standards and the same design system. Books is live. The rest are in production.

A book brief is not a summary. It condenses the useful thinking around a book, not its plot. Every books brief answers the same questions, in this order:
- What the book is and its core premise
- The main ideas, compressed
- What works
- What does not
- The themes that matter
- Who should read it, and who should not
- Is it worth your time
What we hold ourselves to.
- Judgement over coverage. A brief says what works and what does not. It never just describes.
- Sourced claims. Quotes carry chapter and timestamp. Facts on the subject come from the subject.
- Straight verdicts. Worth your time: yes, selectively, or no. Ratings are numbers, not stars.
- Who it is for, and who it is not. Every brief names both.
- Corrections in the open. Updated briefs say what changed and when.
- Produced in-house. Every video is ours. Nothing is aggregated.
